Luau Party, Girls Night in with Freeze and Shake Frozen Cocktails

Luau Wreath made using raffia wreath and paper umbrellas
A few weeks ago we were selected to host a Freeze and Shake Frozen Cocktails Party. I of course took the opportunity to invite a few girlfriends over for a night of fun.
Favor boxes made using my Silhouette SD and embellished with Martha Stewart Stickers

I made favor boxes for each guest and filled them with different candies and chocolates. It’s always a nice touch to give your guest a little gift to take home, don’t you think?

Turkey Empanada with Mango Lime dip

As with any party that I am involved in, there has to be some good food. This was no exception. We enjoyed turkey empanadas with Mango Lime dip, they flew off the plate in record time, super delicious. I better mention that my sister made them, I wouldn’t want to mislead anyone, although I do make a mean beef empanada myself.

Pineapple upside down cupcakes
In keeping with the tropical theme the first dessert that came to mind was upside down pineapple cake. I wanted to make it but in individual portions so I made them into cupcakes. These were a great sweet treat at the end of the night.
Rainbow fruit kabobs
We enjoyed some beautiful fruit kabobs. Gotta have something healthy in there!
Mini cuban sandwiches
These mini cuban sandwiches purchased from a local favorite, Palm Avenue Sandwich Shop, were also a hit!

One of my favorite party goers, my baby sister, shows us how it’s done! You just put them in the freezer until completely frozen and then shake shake shake!

I had to get some of the girls to ham it up in front of the camera.

For each drink, I made a separate little drink station completely with a custom garnish. I had one drink at each station already garnished and ready to serve in mason jars as an example on how to serve! There were four different drinks, lemonade, strawberry daiquiri, pina colada and  my favorite was the Godiva mud slide, garnished with of course chocolate! They were all delicious. Not to worry I only had a sip of each, purely for research purposes :).

Luau Girls Night In Freeze and Shake Party Table

We had a fun few hours without the little ones running around and got to catch up on some girl talk! I hope this inspires you to have a girls night in at your house. No matter the theme, with good friends and good food you are sure to have a great time!
