Vintage Carnival Block Party

A few weeks ago the skies miraculously cleared up and the sun came out just in time for our street to host a Vintage Carnival to celebrate the end of summer and the beginning of another school year.

The festivities began with a gorgeous Carnival invitation by Bushel & Peck Papers. The invitation colors red and aqua set the color scheme for the entire carnival.

Each neighbor set up a carnival themed activity in front of their house. We had everything from professional face painters and balloon artists, to balloon dart games and a photo booth!

We all enjoyed typical carnival foods, such as corn dogs, animal crackers, and popcorn popping in a vintage style popcorn machine. There were also marshmallow pops, and marshmallow clown faces
At each carnival game the children received tickets that they could later redeem over at a beautifully canopied prize table. The prize table had all sorts of treats, crazy straws, lip whistles, bubbles, fake mustaches, puzzles, even clown noses and they each got a carnival box to load all their treasures in.
