One year ago, March 31, 2011, I started this journey in the form of a blog. Initially I started this blog primarily for therapeutic purposes and for a creative outlet that I could call my own. As some of you may be able to relate, once upon a time I had a career and lots of friends and people to interact with. Once I began my life as a stay at home mom, as rewarding as that is, I felt a little wrapped up in my boys and felt I needed something outside of that to nurture me as a person. Do you know what I mean?
In saying that, this has been an amazing and rewarding endeavor. My circle of blog friends, party girls and fans are just out of this world fabulous and you have all been so supportive. I can’t thank you enough! It’s been so much fun and so many wonderful things have happened during this year.
Here is a short little recap of some of those highlights.
I became blog contributor for I Heart Naptime, just love sweet and beautiful Jamielyn!
I became a designer for Expressions Vinyl blog, who I love and always use for all of my vinyl and craft projects!
Styled a Cool Igloo party, for Bird’s Party Magazine. You all know how much I love Bird. She has been one of the most supportive friends, right from the start!
Had my Vintage Halloween Party I styled with Carmen from Pom Flair featured on Amy Atlas. I was so excited especially because it was completely gluten and casein free. Through styling this party I became really good friends with Carmen, love her!
I met sweet Laura from Laura Winslow Photography. She has become a super supportive friend and the most stylish person I have ever met! Any style changes I’ve ever made with my logo or branding I have run by her, she’s got a great eye for everything! Amazing!
I have gotten to work with so many amazing vendors such as, Nikki in Stitches. Nikki has become such a great friend of mine and we finally got to meet in person in NYC last month!
I became a designer for The Twinery. I have always loved their twine and working with Nicole so it was a complete honor to be selected to be one of their designers.
I got to attend a two day workshop at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia in NYC last month, got to talk to her briefly about my business and met and chatted with Darcy Miller. Amazing experience.
I just wrapped up another shoot for Bird’s Party Magazine and I can’t wait til the magazine comes out to share with you.
Lastly I just had my very own Two Prince Bakery Theater booth at the Gluten Free for Life Expo and it was truly a big personal achievement for me. The feedback I got from the attendees about my products and my whole branding and booth were so positive and enthusiastic, it has put a lot of other things in the works.
This anniversary kinda sneaked up on me, but I promise we’ll do something soon to celebrate! Love you guys thanks for being so wonderful to me and for supporting my business and blog! Muah!
